Manhappy!

It takes a lot to upstage MU vs. KU, but the Wildcats have done it. They didn't just beat A&M, they hammered them 75-54. I said in my Big 12 Power Poll that there was no way the Wildcats upset the Aggies and I was obviously wrong. I thought that A&M coming off an embarrassing loss at Tech would be ready for the Cats...they may have been, but it didn't matter. I thought A&M would contain Michael Beasley and they did...kind of...to the tune of 21 points. I also said that if the Wildcats would become the number one challenger to Kansas if they won, that I was right about. I also think they deserve to be ranked now...probably in the vicinity of 21st. The last thing I think? No longer is the discussion about whether this Wildcat team will be in the tourney, only what seed they'll receive Congrats to the Cats and their fans, now let's get ready for that Border War!

Seeding? Are you kidding me, seeding?

This is a KSU team that has lost to Xavier by 20 plus. Lost to Notre Dame. Lost to George Mason and Oregon. Has one legitimate non-con win (Cal) to offset those 4 losses.

The key stretch for the Cats is late Feb / early March. A huge 6 game strech. At Texas Tech / vs Missouri / at Nebraska / at Baylor / vs Texas / at KU. If they don't go 3-3 or better in that stretch, the only seeding the Cats have to worry about is on the farms most of their fans own.

Yes, today was a huge win for them ... but right now, it means as much as MU's win over UT last week does. Its a nice thing to look at, but it in no way, shape or form makes KSU a tournament team. They need about 8 more to go with it before tournament discussion is valid.

Well yeah, of course they need to keep winning games. Obviously if they stopped playing today and everybody else kept playing, they wouldn't make the tournament.

The point is that as things look right now, they would be solidly in the tournament. If the season ended today, you can't make a straight-faced argument that K-State would not be in.

Nice farms comment, too. At least you were more clever than most. I'll take pride in the fact that a lot of K-State grads feed this nation.

Realistically, this team needs 9-10 conference wins to get in the dance Steve. They've got two already and have 2 left vs. Mizzou, Iowa State, Colorado, and Nebraska left. You telling me they won't win 5 of those 8? Probably 6? 10 wins is a cinch for this team...

I think that this ksu team is really starting to come together and if walker and beasley stay on the same page they could be a big suprise
